Welcome to Sooper Secret Izakaya, where James Beard Award finalist Chef Ricky Goings creates a wildly delicious, ever-changing tasting menu that’s anything but ordinary.
For this special collaboration, we’re stepping into a different reality.
In partnership with Kuleana Rum Works - a Big Island-based distillery known for crafting world-class, additive-free rum from freshly grown sugarcane - this dinner becomes a choose-your-own pairing experience. Each of the five courses is paired with a cocktail by Art from Kuleana Rum, but with a twist: you choose your path.
With every pairing, you’ll decide between the Red Drink or the Blue Drink. Each cocktail is only described by its components (think paprika, orange, chocolate), and both are designed to complement the dish, just from opposite ends of the spectrum. Same plate, completely different cocktail experience.
This 14-seat chef’s table dinner stays true to Sooper Secret form: no set cuisine, no strict rules - just an interactive, inventive tasting shaped by the moment and a little bit of curiosity.
Seats are sooper limited. Choose wisely.
As a little something to take home, guests will also receive a gifted 3.75 ml bottle of rum.
Absolutely no substitutions. We unfortunately cannot accommodate any food allergies or dietary restrictions at this event, thank you for your understanding.

Hailing from Rome, Italy, chef Andrea Onetti will teach us how to make fresh potato gnocchi from scratch in this interactive hands-on class. Each person will make their own gnocchi at individual stations. In addition, we will learn some of Chef Andrea’s favorite gnocchi dishes which we’ll come together to enjoy as a four-course dinner.

Join us for the inaugural crepe and blini class with Chef David Wynne. In this hands-on experience, you’ll learn to craft both classic crêpes and modern blinis from scratch, mastering the techniques and learning the history behind these beloved staples. Begin with a refined appetizer featuring blinis topped with caviar, tobiko, or salmon roe, then sit down to a savory crêpe dinner filled with salmon, ricotta, and parmesan - made with the crêpes you create in class.
You’ll take home multiple homemade crepes to continue your exploration of how versatile the crepe can be - sweet or savory with endless possibilities.

This month, Chef Andrea Onetti takes us to Abruzzo, often called “Italy’s Green Lung” for its vast national parks and diverse landscape stretching from mountains to the Adriatic coast. The food is just as bold as the region itself - rooted in pastoral, mountain, and coastal traditions, and defined by simple ingredients, big flavors, and time-honored techniques.
For this multi-course dinner, expect hearty, satisfying dishes that reflect the region’s love of grilled meats, handmade pastas, and ingredients shaped by both land and coast.
